What is LGM for Cattle? LIVESTOCK GROSS MARGIN FOR CATTLE (LGM) is an insurance product that will guarantee your cattle against income loss due to market events. These events include changes in fat cattle prices, feeder cattle prices and corn prices. It does not insure the death of the cattle due to lightning, disease or other events. You would buy LGM for the month or months you believe you will slaughter fat cattle. |
